All you need to know about a
ghost hunt at Charlton House...
Charlton House is a Jacobean building in Charlton. Built in 1607-12 the house has served as a home and has also served as a wartime hospital, a museum then a library and now is a community centre. This is a magnificent building, it’s not surprising that paranormal activity is a regular occurrence here with the building having so many uses over the years.
Many people have reported seeing fully bodied apparitions, items have been reported missing before mysteriously showing up in a completely different place. People have been touched by unseen hands people have had the unsettling feeling of being followed and watched. Staff members refuse to enter certain parts of the building.
It is reported that a mummified body of a baby was discovered in an old fireplace of the building was this a baby of a servant? Or one of the family members?
